Free ticket Top Views: Rio beyond Christ and Sugar Loaf
When we hear about views of Rio de Janeiro, we hear a lot about the wonderful views of the Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer. These are magnificent places, no doubt, but there are viewpoints in our wonderful city as spectacular as these two famous and which ones do not charge entry and have no lines to enter.
We chose three lookouts easy access by car: Chinese View, Mirante Dona Marta and Parque da Cidade-Niterói. Chinese View: Located inside the Tijuca Forest, the exotic and charming Chinese View is the only observation deck in the city of Rio, accessed by car, where it is possible to see from the same angle Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf. From its 380 meters above sea level, the Chinese view is accessed by only 15 minutes drive out of the Botanical Gardens, being the viewpoint of easiest access.
Dona Marta Top View: From 360 meters high, this stunning viewpoint provides a wonderful picture of Rio de Janeiro, being possible to see many postcards as the Sugar Loaf, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, Maracanã, Guanabara Bay, Rio-Niteroi bridge. Moreover, it is the closest viewpoint of the Christ the Redeemer statue, and vantage point for photos with the statue.
Parque da Cidade-Niterói: Being in Niteroi, across the Guanabara Bay, the Parque da Cidade has perhaps the best and most beautiful view of Rio de Janeiro from all viewpoints. From the top of its 270 meters, the observatory has a panoramic view of the Ocean beaches of Niteroi, across the Bay of Guanabara and the open ocean, as well as Sugar Loaf, Christ the Redeemer, Gavea Stone and the entire mountain range of Rio de Janeiro.
