Football fans, this tour is for you! We have opened a new exclusive guided tour that will take you straight to the pitch, literally. Our tour of the Maracana Stadium is the perfect option for those who want to know Brazilian football’s history. You will enter the backstage, sit in the VIP bleachers and see the sporting goods of your favorite stars.
Come and see the temple of Brazilian football and relive the best moments of our country’s history and sports culture!
The Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro was inaugurated in 1950. After its last renovation for the World Cup held in 2014, it has a capacity for 78,838 fans in its stands. It has hosted hundreds of sporting events, such as the ceremonies of the 2007 Pan American Games, the Confederations Cup in 2013 and the 2016 Olympic Games.
But don’t think you only come here to watch football! The Maracana also hosted John Paul II visit (1980 and 1997) and live concerts by music celebrities such as Madonna and The Rolling Stones.
In our private tour, you will be accompanied by a specialist guide. He will show you the backstage, where you will prepare before the game, just like the football players who once marked their professional careers. You’ll be in the same dressing room where Pelé tied his shoes before scoring his 1,000th goal in 1969!
Once you’re ready, you’ll go to the sacred bench, with the best view of the entire pitch, and then you’ll walk on the grass. Yes, the same where the 2014 World Cup final took place!
Keep in mind that the walk takes about 40 minutes and is an experience for the whole family.
