How Is The Weather in Rio De Janeiro Brazil?
Rio de Janeiro is in the middle of a tropical strip, so the temperature doesn’t change too much. In general, it remains at an average of 28°C (82.4 °F). However, depending on the season, there are gradual variations in rainfall or humidity.
Summer extends from December to March, making December and January the hottest months. Temperatures can reach 35°C (95°F) in some cases. The days are slightly longer and warm in summer, but sometimes there are storms that cool the nights. These are the months when the sea water is warmer and quieter, so there are more sightseeing than in other seasons of the year.
Winter in Rio de Janeiro runs from June to September. If it’s not cloudy or raining, temperatures at noon can easily reach 25°C (77°F).
From September to mid-December, the temperature and climate are more temperate. These months coincide with the spring season, in which the rains are more prone, but the sun is less cruel. The temperature doesn’t usually exceed 23°C (73.4°F), so the whole city stays cool (but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a tan!)
Another ideal time to visit Rio de Janeiro is in the fall. Between April and June, the rains are also frequent, but the humidity is higher. It will be hot, but the cooling winds will keep you from sweating!
