Day trips are full-day excursions typically lasting 10-12 hours including transportation time. Most depart between 7:30-8:30 AM and return to Rio by 6:00-7:00 PM. Specific durations vary by destination: Petrópolis (8 hours), Ilha Grande (12 hours including boat transfers), Arraial do Cabo (11-12 hours), Serra dos Órgãos (9 hours), Niterói (7 hours), and Coffee Farm Tour (11 hours). Early departures maximize time at destinations while accounting for Rio’s traffic patterns.

Essential items include: comfortable walking shoes (sneakers for most tours, water shoes for beach trips), lightweight breathable clothing, swimsuit and towel for beach destinations, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen SPF 30+), personal medications, and camera/phone. We offer free cancellation up to 7 days before your scheduled tour for a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the tour date are not eligible for refund or credit.

Exceptions for unforeseeable events: If your tour must be cancelled due to circumstances beyond your control—such as government-imposed travel restrictions, war, civil unrest, strikes, extreme weather, earthquakes, natural disasters, cruise ship unable to dock, or flight cancellations to Rio—we provide full refund or rescheduling at no charge.
