Last Minute Tours in Rio
Landed in Rio without a plan? Or your original tour fell through and you have one free day left? That happens more often than you’d think, and it’s exactly the kind of message we like to get.
We at Rio Cultural Secrets run fully private tours, so we never have to wait to fill a group. If a guide on our team is free, your tour is on. Many of our guests book the night before, and some message us at breakfast and are on Sugarloaf by mid-morning.
What we can usually arrange on short notice
- Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain in one day
- A private city tour that mixes the icons with neighborhoods most visitors miss
- Historic downtown Rio, Santa Teresa and Lapa on foot
- Hikes in the Tijuca Forest, depending on weather
- A day trip to Petrópolis, the imperial city in the mountains
Hotel pickup is included, and we adjust the pace to you. If you have kids, prefer less walking, or only have four hours before a flight, just tell us.
How to book a last minute tour
- Send us a WhatsApp message with your date, the number of guests and where you’re staying.
- We check guide and driver availability right away and reply with options and a price.
- You confirm, and we meet you at your hotel lobby.
No forms and no waiting for an email reply three days later. You talk directly to us, the people who run the tours.
Why travelers choose us, even at the last minute
We’ve been guiding in Rio since 2012. Our guides are Cariocas who know when the lines at Christ the Redeemer are shortest, which viewpoint is clear when clouds roll in, and where to stop for lunch that isn’t a tourist trap. You’ll find us on TripAdvisor and in Forbes and Fodor’s, and we’re members of LATA and ATTA.
Short notice doesn’t mean a rushed tour. You get the same private guide, the same care and the same flexibility as someone who booked months ahead.
